Wilogo was founded in France in 2006 as a meeting place for designers and clients. The concept was crowdsourcing for logo design and it spread rapidly in Germany and France. Wilogo was acquired on March 15, 2012 by Fotolia, the leading global photo microstock organization.

What are the differences to other apps?

Many freelance marketplaces exist on the internet. But Wilogo is unique in that it focuses on logo design. The app is based on a four-step process. It is as simple to use as can be. The most complex part of using Wilogo is describing what you would like in terms of a logo and deciding which concept of the many that are presented to you would be best. The four steps of the Wilogo process are 1: completing a design brief, 2: choosing from 80 or more custom designs, 3: requesting any desired changes to the logo you chose and 4: accepting the design. The entire process can take a few days, depending on how specific or choosey you want to be.

How does the registration process work?

Registering with Wilogo, as a customer, is part of the process of choosing a design. When you first enter the web site, you have the choice in the menu at the top of the page to order a design. Once you click on that option, you will be run through all the steps necessary to order a design, request changes, pay for it and more. You will then be able to log in to the web site regularly. If you are a designer wishing to participate in the crowdsourcing on the site, click on Register as a Designer in the upper right hand corner of the app's main page.

What does it cost to use the application?

The cost of the app depends on the services you want. The minimum cost for buying a design is $295. But the cost varies greatly. It is based on the services you want.

Who would you recommend the application to?

The app is fantastic for any private individual or small or medium company that is looking for web design services. Wilogo take a lot of the risk out of outsourcing.
